Nutrition

Holistic nutrition is all about eating healthy food as close to its natural state as possible for optimum health and well-being. When people refer to “clean-eating” they are referring to a diet that consists of food pure in form; free of chemicals and genetically unaltered. Holistic nutrition revolves around unrefined, unprocessed, organic and locally grown whole foods.

We can help guide you in making better choices.

At The Balanced Woman the goal is to empower and educate our clients to improve their health with the use of nutrient dense foods, natural supplementation and lifestyle recommendations.  In addition to diet, we will also look at an individual’s physical activity, stress levels, career satisfaction, relationships, spirituality, sleep cycles, mental health tendencies, and more. We believe in following the client’s intuition and working with their preferences rather than setting a strict set of restrictions they don’t want. In doing this, we aim to establish an approach that fits the client’s needs while offering positive nutritional change and an array of health benefits.

Nutrition - Better Choices
Nutrition - Balance

It's all about balance.

The body needs a certain balance of protein, vitamins and other nutrients to achieve its maximum level of energy, contributing to the improvement of physical and emotional health. At Every individual is different and therefore requires different levels of these elements to feel their healthiest. At The Balanced Woman, we help design diets that are perfectly adapted to the health of each individual and their specific nutritional needs. We will show you the importance of investing in natural foods, and avoiding processed foods which fill the majority of our supermarket shelves. A proper diet should provide your body with enough vitamins, minerals and other nutrients to replace those you use during the day. Balance is achieved by eating a variety of foods, as all nutrients play a different role but are equally as important.  Food is not only fuel, but medicine for the body. Once you learn strategies to develop a new relationship with food, you will see benefits such as weight loss, strong skin elasticity, increased energy levels, better sleep, and regularities in your bodily functions overall.
