Marialisa Lambert, MD

Dr. Lambert provides routine gynecologic care and is a Board-Certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist. With a commitment for addressing menopausal health, Dr. Lambert applies holistic techniques to traditional practices, using vitamins, nutrition, hormones and lifestyle-management as guides in her principals. Throughout her 24 years of practice, Dr. Lambert has developed an alternative approach to menopause which utilizes bio-equivalent hormones while incorporating other tailored methods such as diet and exercise. She provides diagnostic procedures such as endometrial biopsies, colposcopies and office LEEP procedures. Dr. Lambert will refer patients requiring surgery to the local surgeons of specified expertise to ensure patients are receiving the highest level of surgical care.

Dr. Lambert’s philosophy has always been to offer comprehensive and compassionate care that is customized to individual needs. She believes in treating the whole person rather than isolating the illness. She examines her patients’ extensive histories and collaborates with them to offer a wide range of treatment options, allowing her clients the opportunity to select a treatment plan that best suits their personal preferences.

Dr. Lambert also has experience and training in functional medicine for illnesses such as irritable bowel syndrome, fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. She has also developed various treatment plans for weight loss and anti-aging programs.

After completing her residency at New York University, Dr. Lambert was in private practice for Obstetrics and Gynecology at NYU Medical Center. She and her family moved to Philadelphia in 1997. Before beginning The Balanced Woman, Dr. Lambert served as a surgeon and M.D. at Holy Redeemer and Chestnut Hill Hospitals.

Dr. Lambert received her Bachelor of Science in Organic Chemistry from Columbia University, Barnard College and her medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center.
