Reiki
Reiki is known as the life-energy that flows through all living things.
The word Reiki comes from the Japanese word (Rei) which means “Universal Life” and (Ki) which means “Energy”. Reiki targets the energy fields around the body to help the flow of energy and remove blocks. According to practitioners, energy can deteriorate in the body where there has been physical injury or possibly emotional pain. In time, these energy blocks can cause illness.
Reiki is designed to aid relaxation, assist in the body’s natural healing processes, and develop emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. It is also said to help people cope with difficulties, relieve emotional stress, and improve overall well being. People who receive Reiki describe it as “intensely relaxing.” It has no side effects and promotes a happy, positive mindset which is essential to healing.
Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use.
Conditions that Reiki has been used to help relieve are:
- Cancer
- Heart disease
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Chronic pain
- Infertility
- Neurodegenerative disorders
- Autism,
- Crohn’s disease,
- Sleep disorders
While Reiki is not a means of cure and should be paired with the appropriate medication, it has been proven to sooth and alleviate certain symptoms of such conditions. The practice of Reiki goes beyond healing physical ailments and encourages living and acting in ways that promote harmony both with others and within oneself. Reiki works on all four levels—physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual.
